We’re Jonathan and Miriam Kilpatrick, regenerative farmers at Red Lantern Ranch. We are passionate about stewarding the land, nutrient-dense food, and regenerative agriculture. We met while apprenticing at Polyface Farms, where our relationship blossomed over raising, processing, and marketing chicken (and other grass-fed proteins). Many years and thousands of chickens later, we have finally launched our own farm business in Miriam’s hometown of Alexandria, Minnesota. With over twenty years of experience raising pastured poultry, we take pride in our work - offering full transparency and a clean, premium product you can feel confident in. Our chicks start in a warm brooder, then move to pasture when ready.
We move their shelter daily onto fresh grass.
They forage for grass and insects and eat non-GMO, transitional organic feed from a local Minnesota mill.
Never given antibiotics, drugs, or hormones.
Raised humanely with care.
After living a full, healthy life on pasture, eating insects, grass, and our carefully selected non-GMO feed, we bring them to a nearby, family-owned processing facility. All of our chicken is then vacuum sealed for extended freshness and long shelf life.
